Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the Leafage desktop app, Cloud Projects, local Codex integration, hosted generation, subscriptions, and credit top-ups. By creating an account or using Leafage, you agree to these terms.

Your Account

You need a Leafage account to create or open Cloud Projects. You are responsible for access to your email account, activity performed through your Leafage account, and accurate information supplied at checkout or to support. Contact support if you believe someone else has accessed your account.

Free Access and Codex

The editor and local Codex generation route do not require a Leafage purchase. Local Codex uses the Codex installation and ChatGPT plan on your Mac.

Subscriptions and Credits

Hosted models use Leafage credits. The app shows the maximum credit charge before you submit a hosted generation. Leafage prices usage at 100 credits per US dollar of face value. Current plans, top-ups, storage allowances, and prices appear on the Pricing pageand at checkout.

Monthly subscription credits expire and reset at renewal. They do not roll over. Purchased top-up credits do not expire. Leafage spends monthly credits before top-up credits. You can buy and use top-up credits without a subscription. Credits are a limited, non-transferable right to use eligible Leafage services. They are not cash, cannot be withdrawn or redeemed for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts.

Plan upgrades take effect after payment and may include a prorated charge, additional monthly credits, and a higher storage allowance. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid period. A failed renewal may enter a seven-day payment-recovery period. New monthly credits are issued after payment succeeds.

Checkout and Billing

Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record for subscriptions and top-ups under itsBuyer Terms. Dodo Payments handles checkout, payment, invoices, and payment methods.

Hosted Generation

Leafage may reserve the displayed maximum credit charge while a hosted generation runs. We settle the charge when the service delivers a usable output. We release the reservation after a confirmed failure, refusal, timeout, or successful cancellation that delivers no usable output. A result with an unknown provider status remains reserved while we reconcile it; Leafage does not release the reservation merely because time has elapsed when a provider may still deliver a result.

Model availability, capability, price, and provider terms can change. Leafage may disable or retire a model without shipping an app update when access, reliability, safety, law, or provider terms require it. Existing Project history retains the stored model identity, but a disabled model cannot start new generations.

Cloud Projects and Storage

Leafage stores Projects and their assets in Leafage infrastructure. You need an internet connection to open, edit, import, export, or generate within a Cloud Project. You remain responsible for keeping exports of work you cannot afford to lose.

If you reach your storage allowance, you can read and export existing Projects, but Leafage may block imports and generations that create new stored assets. If cancellation leaves you over the free storage allowance, your existing Projects remain readable and exportable for at least 12 months while new storage is blocked. Leafage will give repeated notice before over-limit data becomes eligible for deletion.

Your Content

You retain your rights in prompts, imports, and outputs to the extent the law and relevant model provider terms allow. You give Leafage permission to store, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide the service. You are responsible for having the rights required to upload and use your content.

Acceptable Use

You may not use Leafage to break the law, infringe another person's rights, create prohibited content, harm or exploit people, bypass safety controls, interfere with the service, probe other accounts or Projects, abuse billing or credits, or violate the terms of OpenAI or a hosted model provider. We may block content, generations, models, or accounts when needed to enforce these rules or a provider policy.

Refunds, Reversals, and Disputes

We offer a voluntary full refund for a top-up purchased within the previous 14 days when its entire credit grant remains unused. We also offer a voluntary full refund for an initial subscription payment requested within 14 days when none of that period's monthly credits have been used. Renewals and partially used purchases are not voluntarily refundable, and cancelling a subscription does not create a prorated refund for the current paid period. These limits do not reduce any refund, cancellation, or cooling-off rights required by law. Contactsupport@leafage.app with your account email and order details to request help.

An approved refund reverses the credits from the related order. When Leafage approves a voluntary initial-subscription refund, Leafage also cancels that subscription immediately and removes its storage allowance. A refund event by itself does not cancel future renewals, so cancellation must still be confirmed separately. If a refund, chargeback, or dispute follows credit use, your balance may become negative. You can still open and export Cloud Projects and use local Codex, but hosted generation remains blocked until the dispute is won or later credit grants clear the negative balance. Starting a dispute does not itself cancel future subscription renewals; cancel the subscription separately.

Account Closure

You can ask us to close your account by emailing support. Export your Projects first. We may retain transaction, ledger, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal records after account closure. Closing an account does not cancel or erase amounts you still owe.

Changes to Leafage and These Terms

Leafage may change its app, services, models, and prices. We provide at least 30 days' notice before a subscription price increase or reduction in included monthly credits applies to a future renewal. The change takes effect no earlier than the first renewal after that notice, and you may cancel before it applies. When applicable law or the payment mandate requires your consent, the change will not apply unless that consent is obtained. We may change the credit price or availability of a hosted model sooner when provider cost, access, law, security, or abuse conditions require it, but the app shows the current maximum charge before each new job is submitted. Material changes to these terms will be posted here and may also be sent through the app or by email.

No Warranty

Leafage is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leafage will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.

Third-Party Services

Leafage depends on services provided by Dodo Payments, Cloudflare, Neon, Resend, OpenAI, and the provider of any hosted model you select. OpenAI publishes itsTerms of Use andPrivacy Policy. Other providers' own terms and policies may apply to your use of those services. Leafage is not responsible for a third-party service's outage, policy change, or decision to reject content.
