All new Leafage Projects are Cloud Projects. Leafage stores the canvas, Project history, imported references, and generated outputs in private cloud storage tied to your account.
Internet access
Leafage needs an internet connection to create, open, edit, or delete a Project; import or export data; upload references and Codex outputs; and run hosted generation.
Leafage does not promise offline editing or background synchronization. If the service is unavailable, wait until the connection returns before making changes.

Storage includes imported assets and generated media. Plans and limits may change; the app and Pricing page show the current allowance.
Reaching the storage limit
You can still open and export existing Projects after reaching the limit. Leafage blocks imports and generations that would create more stored data until you delete work or move to a plan with more storage.
If cancellation reduces your allowance below current usage, existing Projects remain readable and exportable for at least 12 months. Imports and generations that add storage stay blocked until usage falls below the allowance or the account moves to a larger plan. Leafage will give repeated notice before over-limit data becomes eligible for deletion.
Export a backup
Open a Project’s actions menu on the Projects screen, choose Export, then save the .leafage file somewhere you control. You can also open Settings > General and use Export all.
Moving from an older Leafage release
Version 0.2 does not list old local Projects automatically, but it can recover them from the original Projects folder.
- Install Leafage 0.2 and sign in.
- Open Settings > General.
- Click Advanced in the bottom-left corner.
- Choose Legacy project recovery.
- Select the older Leafage Projects folder, choose the Projects to recover, and start the import.
Recovery creates Cloud Projects and leaves the original local folders unchanged. Exporting .leafage archives before updating is still a useful backup, and you can import those archives with Import on the Projects screen.
