Each node has generation controls next to the prompt. These controls let you decide how many versions to make and how much guidance to give Codex.
Generation count
The x1, x2, x3, and x4 control sets how many versions Leafage asks Codex to create for the node.
Use:
x1for fast single attempts or small prompt edits.x2to compare close alternatives.x3orx4when the direction is open and you want a spread of options.
Trial image usage counts generated image outputs. A node set to x4 can use up to four trial images.
Aspect ratio
Image nodes support these ratios:
- Auto
- 1:1
- 4:5
- 3:4
- 2:3
- 3:2
- 4:3
- 16:9
- 9:16
Use Auto when the prompt should decide the framing. Choose a fixed ratio when you are designing for a known surface such as a product tile, social image, hero image, or vertical story.
Reasoning effort
Reasoning effort controls how much work Codex should spend planning the result.
- Low is useful for quick variations.
- Medium is the default choice for most work.
- High can help with more constrained prompts.
- XHigh is for prompts with many requirements or complex context.
Higher effort can take longer. It is not automatically better for every prompt.
Submit a generation
Click into the prompt field, write the prompt, then:
- Press Enter.
- Or click the arrow button.
Use Shift + Enter for a new line inside the prompt.
Stop a generation
If a generation is running and you no longer need it, click the stop control on the node. Leafage asks Codex to stop the underlying run and marks the generation as stopped.
Stopping can take a moment because Leafage also cleans up the local Codex process.
Choose between versions
When a node has multiple versions, select the one you want to keep building from.
Ways to switch versions:
- Click a version in the node history.
- Select the node and press the left or right arrow key.
- Open the full image viewer and use previous/next controls.
The selected version is the one used as context when you connect that node into another generation.
Delete old versions
Use the generation history controls to remove versions you no longer need. This helps keep a busy node readable.
Deleting a version removes it from the project’s generation history. Export or copy anything important before deleting it.
