The Leafage canvas is where prompts, images, text results, and references stay visible as a graph. Each node is a piece of work. Connections show what should become context for the next generation.
Move around the canvas
- Drag the empty canvas to pan.
- Scroll to pan.
- Pinch on a trackpad to zoom.
- Click Recenter canvas if you lose your work.
- Click Back to projects to return to the Projects screen.
Leafage saves the canvas as you work. There is no separate Save button.
Add a node
Use the round + button on the left side of the canvas, then choose a node type.
- Image nodes generate images.
- Text nodes generate text.
You can also right-click the canvas to open the creation menu at a specific spot.
If you copied Leafage nodes or an image from another app, right-click the canvas and choose Paste when the paste action is available.
Write and submit a prompt
Click a node’s prompt area and type. To submit:
- Press Enter when the prompt field is focused.
- Or click the arrow button in the prompt controls.
Use Shift + Enter when you want a new line instead of submitting.
Select and arrange nodes
- Click a node to select it.
- Drag a node to move it.
- Drag a rectangle on the canvas to select multiple nodes.
- Hold Command or Control to multi-select.
- Press Delete or Backspace to delete selected nodes.
Leafage snaps nodes to a grid so branches stay readable.
Duplicate work
Right-click a node and choose Duplicate when you want a second copy of a direction.
You can also hold Option while dragging a node to duplicate it. Hold Option + Shift while dragging if you want the duplicate without copying the original node’s connections.
Rename a node
Right-click a node and choose Rename. Use names for major branches, reference images, or any node you expect to find again later.
Work with multiple project windows
Leafage can keep project state synchronized between windows. If the same project changes elsewhere and your window cannot save cleanly, Leafage shows a Project changed dialog with two choices:
- Reload to load the latest project state.
- Back to projects to leave the project without overwriting the newer state.
